ADS-B & Community Data

ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast) is a system where aircraft broadcast their position, altitude, speed, and identification via radio. Our tracking data comes from a network of community-operated receivers in the Ayrshire area. These are hobbyist setups — typically a small antenna and a software-defined radio connected to a Raspberry Pi — that pick up these broadcasts and feed them to our platform.

This community-powered approach means our coverage is built and maintained by the same people who use the platform. The data is provided for informational and recreational purposes only and should never be used for flight safety, navigation, or air traffic control.

Creator Pool

We believe the people who contribute great content should share in the platform's success. Our creator pool allocates a portion of subscription revenue each month to photographers whose work is featured on the site, distributed based on engagement.
