Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of EGPK.info (the “Platform”), operated by EGPK.info (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

EGPK.info is an independent, community-built aircraft spotting platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Glasgow Prestwick Airport, its operators, or any airline.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm you have the consent of a parent or guardian.

3. Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

  • Certain features of the Platform require a paid subscription.
  • All payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
  • Subscription fees are charged in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your chosen plan).
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time within a billing period.
  • We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes will apply from the next billing cycle after the notice period.
  • All prices are displayed inclusive of VAT where applicable.

5. API Access

  • API access is available to subscribers on eligible plans.
  • API keys are personal to your account and must not be shared or redistributed.
  • You must comply with the rate limits specified in your plan. Exceeding rate limits may result in temporary throttling or suspension of API access.
  • You may not use the API to build a competing service, scrape data for resale, or facilitate any unlawful activity.
  • We may modify or discontinue API endpoints with reasonable notice. We will endeavour to maintain backward compatibility where practical.
  • Bulk redistribution of raw ADS-B data obtained via our API is prohibited without prior written consent.

6. ADS-B Data

  • ADS-B data displayed on the Platform is sourced from community volunteer receivers and is provided on an “as is” basis.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or real-time nature of aircraft tracking data.
  • ADS-B data must not be used for air traffic control, navigation, safety-of-life applications, or any purpose where inaccuracy could cause harm.
  • Certain aircraft may be filtered or excluded from display at our discretion for privacy or security reasons.

7. User Content

  • You retain ownership of content (including photographs) that you upload to the Platform.
  • By uploading content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and promote that content on the Platform and in connection with its marketing.
  • You represent that you have all necessary rights to upload content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.
  • You must not upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or that compromises aviation security.
  • We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate, without prior notice.
  • We accept no liability for the loss, corruption, or unavailability of any content you upload to the Platform. You are solely responsible for maintaining your own backups of any content you submit. Uploaded content may be removed, compressed, or modified as part of normal platform operations.
  • Photo uploads are subject to additional terms in our Creator Terms.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its infrastructure
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Platform
  • Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data beyond what is permitted by your subscription
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Upload malware, viruses, or any harmful code
  • Use the Platform to harass, abuse, or threaten other users

9. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, trademarks, and other intellectual property on the Platform (excluding user-uploaded content) is owned by or licensed to EGPK.info. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.

“EGPK” refers to the ICAO airport code for Glasgow Prestwick Airport. Our use of this code is descriptive and does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by the airport.

10. Disclaimers

  • The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
  • We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
  • We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted, or secure access to the Platform. The Platform may be unavailable at any time due to maintenance, technical failures, third-party service outages, or circumstances beyond our control. No service-level agreement or uptime commitment is provided, and we accept no liability for any downtime or loss of access.
  • Aircraft tracking data is for informational and hobbyist purposes only. It must not be relied upon for safety-critical decisions.
  • We are not responsible for the actions of any airline, airport, or third party referenced on the Platform.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EGPK.info shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under the laws of Scotland and England & Wales.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time if you breach these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately, but provisions that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law) will remain in effect.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland, without prejudice to your statutory rights as a consumer.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
